Hood-Mounted Military Mural Donation

Army Specialist Michael Gallagher will be riding with memories of his fallen comrades close at hand. On July 1st, at Fort Lewis, Wash., in front of 4,000 soldiers, Gallagher was presented with an all-new custom-painted 2008 Jeep® Liberty.  The vehicle came courtesy Chrysler LLC and Operation Gratitude.  The Liberty is emblazoned with a mural that pays homage to five fallen soldiers in Gallagher's unit.

Sneak Peek at the Dodge Challenger Drag Race Package Car from Mopar

Some go fast, and others go faster.

Those others who want to race their Dodge Challenger SRT8 at the track have been eagerly awaiting the launch of the drag race package car from Mopar.

NHRA racers and racing fans have been waiting to hear more about the car from Mopar since it was announced at the 2007 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas.

They may not be waiting much longer.

Former Chrysler Chairman Lee Iacocca came "home," at least for a day last week, when he returned for an emotional tribute at Chrysler World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Chrysler Chairman and CEO Robert Nardelli chatted with the 83-year old legend and presented him with the crystal Pentastar lifetime achievement award. Taking the Challenger from Concept to Reality

It was just over two years ago that the Dodge Challenger was a concept vehicle at the Detroit International Auto Show, a modern vision of the iconic 1970 muscle car. After hugely favorable response at the auto show, it was up to Jeff Gale and a team to turn the concept into reality. We caught up with Jeff, the exterior designer for the Challenger, at the What's New at Chrysler event to talk to him about how the Challenger stays true to the 1970 classic muscle car.

As soon as the What's New at Chrysler event opened, cameraman Paul Cirenese and I headed for the "black lake" asphalt area where an autocross course is set up to push performance vehicles like the Dodge Challenger SRT8 to the limit.
