Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) visited the Jeep® Wrangler Plant assembly plant in Toledo, Ohio on Thursday, keeping up a practice that he started during last year's campaign of touring factories around the state.

The tour was led by Mauro Pino, Plant Manager for the Toledo
Assembly Complex, and Myrlene Gelibert-Bush, Plant Manager for Jeep
Wrangler, and included participation from UAW leadership at the
plant. Sen. Portman frequently stopped along the line to speak to
workers about their jobs.
He was in town to address the Toledo Regional Chamber of
Commerce at their annual meeting where he urged passage of new
international free-trade agreements, saying the United States' best
international customers are those with which we have trade
agreements. Sen. Portman told listeners that Chrysler sells 25
percent of its Toledo-made Wrangler Jeeps in foreign markets and
impressed the importance of exports in job creation.
