Our Forest Green Cherokee has been quite the trooper… I’m convinced it saw this year’s Jeep Winter X Games commercial featuring Robert Frost’s Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening “I have promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep.”
After a wild life in the East Coast, to a quick move to the Midwest, our Cherokee has kept it's promise and now has a new home on the West Coast.
To celebrate its new live on the West Coast, The Hill family jumped in the Forest Green Cherokee, and headed to Disney.
Walt Disney did such an incredible job making his dreams come to life. From the time one enters the park, their world starts to shift. From the smell of the hot churos to Tinker Bell flying over the castle to kickoff the night’s firework spectacular- you are able to become a kid again with an imagination as big as all the stars in the sky.
A minute before the clock struck midnight (before our Jeep turned into a pumpkin) we threw our coins in the fountain at Disneyland and made our wish upon the Supermoon. As Walt Disney once said, “All our dreams come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
The weekend's magic continued as we went to L.A. to visit The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. There O.A.R. performed their latest collaboration with B.o.B. titled “Champions."
The song was created as a free download to inspire and pump up America for this year’s Olympics. The lyrics express that “Taking no for an answer isn’t part of the deal… We make our dreams a reality, you can tell that it’s real, Cause I’m a champion, I live the life I said I would live.”
I remember standing up during the performance thinking… “YEAH!!!! Let’s find a way to make our dreams come true!” Brittany and I have been in countless situations where people just say “No” and end up shutting down a conversation. Whether it’s an excuse, a simple answer, or an east way to get rid of a crowd… we have come to realize if you want something bad enough, there is always a way.
After being inspired by the new song we started our nationwide search to make our own dreams a reality. We have been talking about getting a Jeep Wrangler for a long time, but now became the time for us to live the life we’ve imagined.
On our exhilarating quest, we learned how to drive a six speed in a TJ, the importance of understanding the product, how to negotiate, which Chrysler dealership has the best ice cream in Illinois, and the importance of staying true to our beliefs.
We ended up finding a Flame Red JK...a life size version of our very first Power Wheel Flame Red Wrangler. We are now embarking on our own adventure to inspire people to dream and create their reality.
Whether you want to explore the open road, build a life size fantasy world, sing a new song, or travel to Timbuktu…the world is your stage.
