Our friend the Norweigan Furyman, also known as Trond Antonesen, took pictures of a Jeep Liberty (Patriot) with Russian license plates that he spotted in Norway, and sent in this letter. We blacked out part of the license plate of the Jeep, for privacy purposes.

Last week I was traveling to the east side of Norway in business. On the way home again, I have to cross the Hardangerfjord with a ferry.
At the key I saw a Jeep Patriot, just like mine. Funny i thought, since there are weeks between each time I see a Patriot in traffic here. I got a bit surprised when we where crossing, and I realised that this car was from Russia! It was not carrying the Patriot name, but Liberty! Still it was a Patriot.
You can spot the Liberty name on the rear bumper of it ( hard to see). It was a Limited like mine, but it was a bit different in equipment. Since there is no CDI emblems on it, I presume that it has a gasoline engine.
It is not daily that we see Russian cars so long over to the
west side of Norway, and I have never seen a U.S. car with Russian
plates before, so I took these pictures of it. I did not speak with
the couple in it. My Russian is much worse than my English,
(actually non-existing) so I skipped that!
Even Russians appreciate quality products from Michigan!
