Thought we'd share a letter Chrysler Chairman and CEO Bob Nardelli received recently from a satisfied customer. His name is Marty Rothchild from Florida. He hadn't purchased a vehicle built by an American automaker in 26 years and decided he would take a look at a Chrysler vehicle based on his sister's positive experience with her Sebring convertible. So Mr. Rothchild traded in his 9-year old Mazda for a Dodge Journey SXT.
Here are some excerpts
"Seems like you and your Company have taken a lot of flack recently about the tough conditions in the Auto Industry (sic). Most of it is not justified and mis-directed."
"I am extremely impressed with the car. Great style and seating flexibility (for a family hauler, much more exciting that (sic) a mini-van. I looked at the Volvo XC90, Honda Pilot, and a Toyota Highlander. the Dodge was the better value by far! It used to be that foreign cars had more features and better quality for less money. Not the case anymore. I think they are now over-priced and I do not think there is any difference in quality."
"I realize that many foreign autos are assembled here in America, providing jobs to Americans, but at the end of the day, the profit leaves the Country. I think the Public (myself included) and the Media have not given enough support to the Domestic Auto Industry. I am in favor orf the Government assisting Chrysler and GM. You will pay it back, won't you?? How is that a bailout? Sounds like a loan to me."
We're always pleased when one of our customers has a great experience and we certainly appreciate Mr. Rothchild taking the time to tells us about it...and for his support as Chrysler follows its path to long-term viability.
