A New Plan, A New Direction

By now you’ve probably heard. Tomorrow - Wednesday, Nov. 4 - is a big day for Chrysler Group LLC and its future. The doors to Chrysler Headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI will swing wide for hundreds of analysts and members of the global media for nearly the entire whole day.

Here’s why: Chrysler will provide a detailed road map charting a new course for the Company over the next several years in what is simply called the “Chrysler Group LLC Business Plan.” Led by Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne and Chrysler Group Chairman C. Robert Kidder, several executive leaders with diverse roles across the company will present long-term plans on the company’s future direction.

We want you to be a part of the discussion. We will be updating this blog as often as possible during tomorrow’s day-long meeting. When we post new developments, we’ll drop you a Tweet from out Twitter channel, which, if you’re not already following us is HERE. The rollout of Chrysler Group LLC's 2010-2014 Business Plan will be available through a live audio webcast on Wednesday, November 4th starting at 11 a.m. EST until approximately 6 p.m EST at this link. Audio from the business meeting at Chrysler World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan, will be accompanied by speakers' presentation slides."

If they come out with the Wrangler diesel, I'll be standing outside the dealer waiting to order one!

Ok, lets do the math. Chrysler says they need to sell 1.6 million units annually to break even. They sold 65,000 units last month. You take that times 12 months and you have 780,000. Oops..... They can still save themselves and add 200,000 more units a year to their bottom line if they would just reinstate the 789 dealers which they so mercilessly terminated. There are so many people wishing them ill will after their trip through the "car wash" (bankruptcy) that they will inevitably crash and burn if they don't reinstate these dealers. The leaders of Chrysler need to do the right thing if they are to return to men and women of "virtue."

The dealers cut was the BEST thing that ever happened to Chrysler! Those dealers either refused to also hold the other two brands under 1 roof like they were supposed to, or sold a competing brand, which is a conflict of interest. I just hope Chrysler removed the ones with the worst customer relations. 12 % market share mean Chrysler should have 12 % of the dealers......that's the way to stay in business & make your dealers profitable & still be able to back them! Smart move Chrysler!
