UPDATED July 9: The Darting Across the Country group is up. If you've taken any 2013 Dodge Dart images, add 'em!

Starting this month and into the following months, the much-awaited 2013 Dodge Dart will be coming to a U.S. or Canadian dealer near you.

And, we'd like you to be on the lookout for them.

Starting July 7 through July 28, we want you to be on the lookout for Dodge Dart cars as they leave Belvidere, Ill., and are trucked and trained across the U.S. and Canada to start arriving at dealerships. If you spot a truck full of Dodge Dart cars on the roadways, get a glimpse of them on railway cars or even after they arrive at your neighborhood dealer, take a picture or video*.

Then upload the image(s) or video(s) to your Flickr account, and add them to a special group we'll create -- just make sure you tag them on the map so the rest of us know where you saw them.

In essence, we're enlisting each and every one of you to be a citizen journalist and let us and the rest of the public know where you spotted the Dodge Dart. We're calling it the Darting Across the Country campaign. We'll have the full official rules before Darting Across the Country starts.

While Darting Across the Country doesn't start until July 7, you can get a head start on your snapshots and video -- if you live in certain markets: Through June 28, we have special dealer drive-away events in the U.S. before the campaign starts.

We won't create the special Flickr Group until around July 6, so there's no cheating allowed for those who live in any of the select markets. Click for the full schedule of the Dodge Dart Dealer Drive Away events in the U.S.

As our field of citizen journalists, we can't pay everyone who snaps a picture or records a video, but we can say offer a small token of appreciation to some of you. Of those who upload eligible images and/or video, we'll randomly select 25 to receive a $50 gift certificate. If you're a U.S. resident, the gift certificate will be to the Dodge Life Shop. If you're a Canadian resident, you'll receive $50 in shopping to Chrysler Canada Dodge Branded Gear. We'll be posting and publicizing the official Darting Across the Country rules as we approach the citizen journalist campaign.

In the meantime, start focusing on the Dodge Dart!

*In no way does Chrysler Group encourage or condone distracted driving. If you spot any of the Dodge Dart cars being transported across the U.S. or Canada, AND you are driving, please do not lose focus on your drive to snap a photo or video. In fact, if you do, you'll be disqualified. This citizen journalist effort is for fun -- and the $50 gift certificate that we will randomly give away to 25 participants is not worth life nor limb. As we stated above, we'll publish official rules prior to July 7, 2012.
