Today's time trials at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge have
determined the starting lineup for the American Le Mans Series
(ALMS) GT race.
Jorg Mueller captured the pole for the timed-event race (2 hours,
45 minutes). Marc Goossens and Tommy Kendall will be in the 10th
position as they pilot the No. 93 2013 SRT Viper GTS-R. Starting
12th and last in the field are Dominik Farnbacher and Kuno Wittmer,
who will share duties behind the wheel of the No. 91 SRT Viper
GTS-R.
The No. 91 car sustained engine trouble and had to suspend its
qualifying efforts as the motor was replaced.
"We decided to come in and determine what the problem was," said
Farnbacher. "In that process, they decided to just replace the
motor. It's not a big setback. We don't start that far back from
the No. 93."
Saturday's race begins at 1 p.m. ET and will be televised on ABC
starting at 2 p.m. ET.
