Another honor for America’s most versatile crossover: the
2012 Dodge Journey.
Road & Travel magazine has named the 2012 Dodge Journey
among its top10 picks in its 2012 SUV Buyer’s Guide.
The online magazine touts itself as being geared toward women, not
gearheads. It concentrates on the average consumer concerned with
purchasing autos, trip planning and safety on the road.
As far as safety is concerned, Journey has been an IIHS Top Safety
Pick for four consecutive years and is loaded with more than 50
safety and security features, including seven standard airbags,
LATCH child seat anchor system, four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes
As for taking trips in the Journey, test-drivers at Road &
Travel praised the SUV’s nooks and crannies calling them
“very clever and very usable features,” citing some
secret hiding places, including a front passenger seat bin that
pops up from the seat cushion and the rear seat dual floor bins.
Besides the hidden features, Road & Travel found the
more prominent features in the interior “handsome and
inviting.” Who could resist such an attractive description?
Chrysler knows the interior isn’t just a nice place to ride,
it also offers best-in-class utility.
The online magazine checked out more than the SUV’s
attractive features, it also took into account its functionality,
saying “families with young children older than the toddler
stage should appreciate the built-in rear child seats that pop up
out of the seat cushion, and disappear back down when not
needed.” Another secret hiding place!
Test-drivers also appreciated the backup camera with video
displayed on Dodge’s Uconnect 4.3-inch touch screen. Not big
enough for you? Don’t worry, it also comes in the
largest-in-class 8.4-inch touch screen.
And when it comes time to buy, with a starting U.S.
