Fighting Hunger One Can at a Time

Chrysler Group employees walked door-to-door in local neighborhoods. No, they weren’t selling vehicles; they were instead collecting food to help fight hunger in Metro Detroit.

“One in five people in Metro Detroit faces hunger on a daily basis. Even more startling is the fact that one in four of our children simply doesn’t know where their next meal will come from,” said Jody Trapasso, Vice President External Affairs – Chrysler Group LLC and President of The Chrysler Foundation. “It is our hope that by partnering with Gleaners, we can help eliminate this uncertainty for thousands of children and their families.”

Okay, I don’t know the answer either, but I know the people who do!

Ten Michigan high school teams, and one Canadian team, are “goin’ for the gold” at the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition Championship in the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri, April 24-27.

Chrysler Employees Share Their Hearts and Hands for Thanksgiving

Turkey, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, stuffing and, of course, pumpkin pie. Ummmm! Makes your mouth water just thinking about these traditional delights of Thanksgiving we’ll be sharing with family and friends next week.

And again this year, thousands of people in Southeastern Michigan, Ohio and Illinois, for whom hunger is a daily reality, will be sitting down next week to this traditional holiday feast, thanks to the helping hands and hearts of Chrysler Group employees sharing their time and their compassion.
