Saying 'Thank You' by Scott Anderson August 24, 2010 7:06 PM Thousands of Chrysler Group LLC employees emerged from their offices and cubicles, from design studios and engineering test labs today to enjoy a lunch of hotdogs and hamburgers served hot off the grill from top managers, including Chrysler Group CEO Sergio Marchionne. There were no speeches, new directives or announcements from the dais. No, today was all about the employees, their hard work and their sacrifice over the course of the last year. The picnic was a modest token of appreciation to thousands of professionals who have labored countless hours during Chrysler’s emergence from bankruptcy to a company... Dodge Responds to the Dodge Tent Event Advertising: Where's the "Monkey?" by The Dodge Team August 17, 2010 12:54 PM Yes, we know, chimpanzees aren't monkeys. That was one of many facts we learned through the process of shooting our latest commercial for the Dodge Tent Event. The commercial features a young chimpanzee (Suzie) in a daredevil suit. She walks up to a detonator, pushes down the lever and triggers a less-than-huge confetti explosion. We posted the ad to YouTube, where it garnered thousands of views and hundreds of comments applauding the commercial for its wit and humor. Big Day: Presidential Visit, SHAP to Stay Open Past 2012, New Jobs on the Way by Blog Editor July 30, 2010 2:03 PM To roaring cheers, more than 1,500 UAW-represented employees at Chrysler Group LLC’s Jefferson North (Detroit) Assembly Plant (JNAP) welcomed President Obama to the home of the all-new 2011 Jeep® Grand Cherokee today. The President visited the Chrysler plant a little more than a year after the Company emerged from bankruptcy to see a company on the road to recovery. During the President’s visit, Chrysler Group CEO Sergio Marchionne announced that Sterling Heights (Mich.) Assembly Plant (SHAP), which was scheduled to close after 2012, will now remain open beyond that date. In addition, he announced that the Company will add nearly 900 jobs on... There are several reasons why JNAP is the first stop on this brief presidential occasion. JNAP is the where the all-new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is built, but it’s also where Chrysler Group and alliance partner, Fiat S.p.A. are setting the pace for manufacturing efficiency. JNAP has undergone a truly amazing transformation to a World Class Manufacturing facility.
