2011 Dodge Durango to Lead Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Caravan

We posted some photos of the all-new 2011 Dodge Durango today, but if you’re in the right spot at the right time, you can see one blowing through town over the next few days.

You see we’re headed to the first of four Dodge-sponsored Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathons. The race is Sunday morning in Virginia Beach, VA and the 2011 Dodge Durango will be the pace car.

Saying 'Thank You'

Thousands of Chrysler Group LLC employees emerged from their offices and cubicles, from design studios and engineering test labs today to enjoy a lunch of hotdogs and hamburgers served hot off the grill from top managers, including Chrysler Group CEO Sergio Marchionne.

 

There were no speeches, new directives or announcements from the dais. No, today was all about the employees, their hard work and their sacrifice over the course of the last year.

Vice President Biden Visits Jeep Wrangler Plant

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden the home of the legendary Jeep Wrangler: Chrysler Group LLC’s Toledo Assembly Complex (TAC), where he forecast the American automotive industry would again lead in 21st Century, just as it did during much of the 20th Century.

“It’s a long, tough road,” Biden told more than 800 UAW-represented employees at TAC, employees of its supplier partners and elected officials. “But I can say with confidence not only is this industry going to survive, it’s going to thrive.”

Clouds Can't Curb Cruise's Enthusiasm

Oh, so it rained a bit during this weekend's Woodward Dream Cruise. What's a few drops between hundreds of thousands of hot ride happy, car-crazy enthusiasts and owners from around the country and beyond. The annual come-as-you-car party down the main drag from just north of Detroit's city limits to the suburbs was its usual passion on parade. Zac Brown Band Zooms a Country Mile

Grammy Award-winning country artists Zac Brown Band made a pit stop at Chrysler World Headquarters the other day a few hours before their concert at a suburban Detroit venue. Zac already is a big fan of Ram pickup trucks and owns one, but he and the band were game for some seat time on our test track in things that can go very fast. Happy to oblige.
