Chrysler LLC dealer Jim Addis felt so strongly about an op-ed column that appeared last week in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer that he fired off the following letter that the paper published today. In his letter, Addis questions and corrects a number of statements and assumptions made in the original op-ed piece by Boston Globe columnist Derrick Jackson. This week Under the Pentastar, Chrysler takes its lineup of ENVI electric-drive vehicles off the proving ground and to Washington to show that the company is working hard on future technology. Increased sales for the Jeep Wrangler and Dodge Journey are two bright spots in weaker January sales results, and the Dodge Ram and the Jeep Wrangler nab two important awards. |

Many Chrysler employees got their first look at the three electric-drive vehicle prototypes unveiled last month. A team of designers and engineers worked in secret for more than one-and-a-half years on the prototypes until they were shown to a surprised press corp last month, and now also to Chrysler employees.
