Clouds Can't Curb Cruise's Enthusiasm by Ed Garsten August 22, 2010 6:25 PM Oh, so it rained a bit during this weekend's Woodward Dream Cruise. What's a few drops between hundreds of thousands of hot ride happy, car-crazy enthusiasts and owners from around the country and beyond. The annual come-as-you-car party down the main drag from just north of Detroit's city limits to the suburbs was its usual passion on parade. Chrysler Group LLC took up residence in its usual spot on Woodward in a Royal Oak, Michigan shopping center showcasing everything from Vipers and Chargers to the coming... Zac Brown Band Zooms a Country Mile by Ed Garsten August 20, 2010 6:22 AM Grammy Award-winning country artists Zac Brown Band made a pit stop at Chrysler World Headquarters the other day a few hours before their concert at a suburban Detroit venue. Zac already is a big fan of Ram pickup trucks and owns one, but he and the band were game for some seat time on our test track in things that can go very fast. Happy to oblige. The band is also very involved with the Letters for Lyrics program, asking folks to write short notes to members... Chargers and Challys and 300's, Oh My! by Ed Garsten March 21, 2010 7:21 AM There's more than passion that goes along with enthusiasm for Chrysler's LX platform, there's downright devotion. The LX platform is the basic architecture for the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger, and the now departed, Dodge Magnum. LX lovers staged their annual LX "love-in" aka the 2010 Spring Festival of LX's in Irvine, CA. My colleagues Scott Brown and Jiyan Cadiz grabbed some shots and comments from a few design honchos who made the trip from our Auburn Hills, MI headquarters. LX Festival ... Spring Break Comes Early by Blog Editor March 17, 2010 9:46 PM LX marks the spot this Saturday. That's when enthusiasts, fans and collectors of Chrysler's LX platform will descend on Irvine, CA for the annual LX Festival. They're celebrating the LX platform, which the DNA underpinnings for the Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger and the Dodge Magnum (now out of production).
