Green Scene: Reusing Seat Foam, Reducing Wasteby Scott Anderson

Chrysler Group LLC has raised the bar on sustainable manufacturing by replacing soy with recycled foam waste material in the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee seat manufacturing process. It's an industry first, and the company estimates the process will save some 180,000 pounds of foam from reaching landfills each year. |

Grammy Award-winning country artists Zac Brown Band made a pit stop at Chrysler World Headquarters the other day a few hours before their concert at a suburban Detroit venue. Zac already is a big fan of Ram pickup trucks and owns one, but he and the band were game for some seat time on our test track in things that can go very fast. Happy to oblige. The band is also very involved with the Letters for Lyrics program, asking folks to write short notes to members...  |
