Paint Shop Groundbreaking Ceremony At Sterling Heights Assembly Plantby Ashley Fournier

The Chrysler Group LLC Sterling Heights (Mich.) Assembly Plant (SHAP) was once scheduled to close by the end of 2010 as an aspect of court-approved reorganization of the company. Today, not only is the plant -- home of the all-new 2011 Chrysler 200 and Dodge Avenger -- still very much open for business, it is receiving a brand new, state-of-the-art paint shop, expected to be completed by the end of 2012 ... talk about a comeback story.  |
Chrysler Group, UAW Package Up 25,000 lbs. of Foodby Mike Driehorst

As part of a new initiiative called Chrysler Community Action Days, employees from Detroit-area Chrysler Group facilities volunteered at Forgotten Harvest, Oct. 16, to package 25,000 pounds of food for the nonprofit organization to donate to emergency food providers, including soup kitchens, food pantries and shelters in southeast Michigan.
