'No discussions whatsoever' About Ram Name Change by David Elshoff November 10, 2010 9:36 AM Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 9, 2010), a couple automotive and truck blogs cited two unnamed sources and claimed that Chrysler Group was considering a name change for its Ram pickup trucks. Rest assured, such is not the case. There have been no discussions whatsoever, nor any consideration given to changing the names of our incredibly successful and award-winning Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks nor our 3500, 4500 and 5500 Ram Chassis Cab trucks.
