This week, about 500 2011 minivans left Chrysler Canada's Eastern Business Centre in Mississauga, and headed to auto dealers in metro Toronto and other areas in Ontario.

As part of the ceremonial event, the Ontario Dealer Advertising Association made a $10,000 donation to the Michael "Pinball" Clemons Foundation. The group is building 131 schools in under-resourced countries, building homes for single parent families in Ontario, providing scholarships to local students and placing computers into the homes of needy families in the Toronto area.

Chrysler Group minivans -- both the Chrysler Town & Country and the Dodge Grand Caravan -- are manufactured in the unofficial "Minivan Capital of the World,"  our Windsor (Ont.) Assembly Plant.

About eight out of every 10 minivans sold in Canada is either a Grand Caravan or a Town & Country, and the Grand Caravan is the second best selling vehicle throughout the land.

Last year in the U.S., the Town & Country was the #1 selling minivan, while the Grand Caravan was #3. In all, Chrysler Group sold more than 286,000 minivans around the world during 2010.

As the creator of the minivan segment, Chrysler Group has millions of customers worldwide and continues to enhance its product leadership position. For 2011, the Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country received an all-new interior, a new 3.6L Pentastar V-6 engine, enhanced ride and handling, as well as improved safety features.
