Day 2

We arrived at the convention center earlier with breakfast in our bellies and fresh batteries for the camera. Took on the Central Building where we ran into a few more of my LXforums.com buddies that I hadn't seen the night before. I also learned from Day 1 not to dillydally. The one thing that stuck out in my mind from Central was one of the first things I saw--the Mini Cooper with the HEMI engine in it! How they did that, I don't know, but I also own a Mini and I now know what my next mod for mine is going to be! (I wish!)

We walked by the Chevrolet exhibit and saw a really cool display for the Camaro...it was coming off an orange Hot Wheels track and painted the transparent lime green that we remember from those cars from when we were kids! Imagine driving a LIFE-SIZE Hot Wheels car!

We went through Central Building and as we made our way to the North Building, we passed through the Ford exhibit and we even saw some cool colors in their cars too. I found that I needed more time for the North Building. So many cool things available were featured here, and if I could have, I would have spent the whole day there. We saw light strips in almost every color of the rainbow--EXCEPT for my PURPLE!!!

There was a company from Japan that did interior mods on cars and we sat in a van that had reclining seats in the second row and a projection camera that could show movies on the headliner of the car!

There were companies there that sold cleaning products and polishing products, and I got to take a photo with Mr. Clean! Really! Ok, not really. I'm pretty sure it was just some dude dressed up to look like him. ;)

We also saw stereo companies and companies that sold window tinting and there was one company from China that had sunglasses that came with lenses in three different colors and could change almost instantly from clear to dark. They were particularly cool because they could recharge off a USB port, like an MP3 player. It's a good thing all these vendors weren't selling their products or I'd be broke, because I wanted one of everything!

There was too much to see and again we closed the place down and didn't leave until after 5 and after taking another 320 pictures. We returned to the hotel and rested our sore tootsies and noodle legs before going out to a fabulous dinner and a little gambling. Then, back to the room to PASS OUT yet again.

Day 3

We originally had planned to just get up and head home, but we decided to go back for a few hours. Because we were a little late starting, the convention lot was full and all the neighboring hotels were charging a ton for parking. Tip for future reference....don't get there late!

Being the cheapskate that I am, we drove around and found a strip mall to park and hiked a bit to the Las Vegas Convention Center. This time we spent all morning outside photographing cars. And getting frustrated. It's next to impossible to take pictures when people keep walking in front of you! But we survived and of course we left later than planned because I kept seeing more gorgeous cars that I wanted to get a picture of. I was sad to go, but we really did have to head home.

All in all, we had a FANTASTIC experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the multitude of cars and products that SEMA had to offer. I can't wait to do this again next year!!
