I’ve always thought of November as the bland month of the year. You know, not quite autumn and not quite winter … the counterpoint to March, I guess. (Not quite winter and not quite spring.) November represents grey skies, fallen leaves, sudden wind gusts and a general lethargy that’s hard to shake.

Until now.

SRT is adding blazing color to the November blahs with two upcoming public debuts at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8® Super Bee and the 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8® 392 Yellow Jacket will be unveiled starting with the start of media days Nov. 16 in all their resplendent, sunlit yellow glory.

Want color? Here are the cars for you. The Challenger SRT8 Yellow Jacket features a Stinger Yellow body color and black grille to match the standard black body-side stripes that highlight the newly developed Yellow Jacket logo on the rear fender. The Charger SRT8 Super Bee is available in either the popular Stinger Yellow exterior paint or Pitch Black, with special Super Bee graphics.

These exclusive models reflect a specially designed modern and extroverted interpretation of the classic muscle car – a performance-driven roadster built for speed.

“The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee is a salute to the fun-loving past of Dodge muscle cars powered by the legendary 392 HEMI® V-8 in a back-to-basics performance machine,” SRT and Motorsports President/CEO Ralph Gilles said. “The Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket adds another piece of performance car nostalgia to our rear-drive muscle coupe lineup in 2012.

"The Stinger Yellow paint and interior accents speak directly to the performance enthusiast who appreciates a memorable and collectible color that helps deliver even more excitement and exclusivity.”

A limited number of 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee and 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket models will be available starting early 2012. Early word is the Charger SRT8 Super Bee will be available in the U.S. and Canada. We'll update the post once we hear on the sales availability of the Challenger SRT8 Yellow Jacket.
