Coming up on three years into the partnership between Chrysler and
Fiat and we continue to march forward with the strongest monthly
sales since 2008. Indeed, we sold 34% more cars and trucks than we
did during March, 2011. That's 163,381 vehicles
compared with 121,730 last March.
But it's always important to take a closer look, below the topline
numbers.
Let's start with the FIAT brand. The combination of demand for
fuel-efficient vehicles, some creative advertising, and a
broadening product line that includes a Cabrio version, and the
upcoming Abarth and 500 L "large" version, has sparked interest and
action in the marketplace, resulting in a whopping 642% jump in
FIAT sales last month over March, 2011.
In fact, every one of our brands saw sales boosts over March of
last year:
Chrysler up 70%
Jeep® up 36%
Ram up 23%
Dodge up 18%
