That groan at the gas pumps you hear is loud and clear: Americans want relief from high gas prices.

Earlier this year, Chrysler launched the automotive industry’s first online Customer Advisory Board to establish two-way dialogue within a closed social network. The Customer Advisory Board overwhelmingly advised that gas prices were a top concern.

Chrysler listened, and the result is Let’s Refuel America, an exclusive gas price protection plan that eliminates the risk of further spikes in fuel prices.

“Our platform has been, since the new Chrysler launched, that Chrysler listens,” said Deborah Meyer - Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Chrysler LLC.

“And, it first started by listening to what our customers were telling us, that their main concern at this time was the volatility of gas prices that’s come up through our dealer network through our customer advisory board. Seventy-six percent of our respondents said it was their main concern, so we really took a look at that and took it to heart.”

With the U.S. purchase of eligible Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles, customers can enroll in the “Let’s Refuel America” program and receive a gas card that immediately lowers their gas price to $2.99 a gallon, and keeps it there for three years. The offer is available at 3,511 U.S. Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge dealerships through June 2, 2008, and is available on vehicles ranging from popular new compacts, crossovers and minivans to full-size diesel-powered pickup trucks.
