Former Chrysler Chairman Lee Iacocca came "home," at least for a day last week, when he returned for an emotional tribute at Chrysler World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Chrysler Chairman and CEO Robert Nardelli chatted with the 83-year old legend and presented him with the crystal Pentastar lifetime achievement award. That’s one of the five significant stories in this week’s “Under the Pentastar”.

Thank you for honoring Mr. Lee Iacocca in such a wonderful fashion! The gesture was very thoughtful and kind. He is most deserving of the award. I wish he were able to perform his magic one more time for this great American company. He's a man we could all believe in and a truly great American. Well done!

I've spoken personally to Lee... I'm no bigshot, no cameras, no reason to spin... Just one Chrysler employee talking to a Chrysler retiree... No matter the size of his ego, nor his fondness for vinyl roofs; Lee really does care about the employees that work for this company, to the point I heard his voice crack. He admitted to me long before he published his book, that choosing his replacement was the biggest mistake he ever made (the name which shall not cross my lips). He doesn't back down from a fight, he gets right to the point, and he isn't afraid to put politicians in their place. His mind is sharp, and he's still well-informed on the industry. I can only hope that there were some behind-closed-doors talks in addition to the public proclaimations, and if there was such a meeting, I hope our current leaders had their ears open! If Nardelli can rally the troops, (meaning everybody from line worker to upper pay grade salary) the way Iacocca did, this company will be sending out fat profit-sharing checks once again!

Long Live Lee Iacocca the saveior of Chrysler It 's time to build a decked out Chrysler & call it the IACOCCA . Sir, you are write Iacocca rallyed a Corporation & the Nation he could have been President of the United States if he wanted to . just think if they would have stayed on the road Mr. Iacocca paved of small front wheel drive cars Chrysler would be on top of the Industry right now . It is a shame the Mini van has fallen from grace another Savior of Chrysler . TO ME Iacocca is a living legend equal to a head of State or Royalty , His insight into the Industry is massive . Time is now to compete in the low price range field the time is Now for THE RETURN OF PLYMOUTH !!!!

I agree Chrysler should call a new Imperial type car the Iacocca, and give Lee a job with Chrysler to direct the company towards profits again, he did it once, and he can do it again. Lets see more of Lee, and bring him back in some commericals. If you can find a better car buy it!
