Put this car on schedule similar to the Challenger. 18 months max. Add a production ready interior and show it in New York in April while announcing the Fall 2010 launch. Phoenix followed by ERV. Pick a run plant. Manufacturing can do it, and I'm sure the rest of the company will step up. If an exec say's we can't make the timing, fire 'em. LET'S ROLL!!
Tenbagger - I like your enthusiasm, but I really want to see this car done right. 18 mos is doable given that the 200C rides on a shortened version of the LY platform that will underpin the next 300/Charger. What I want to be sure of is that Chrysler has thoroughly prepared the supply chain. No more ill-fitting panels. No more unsightly gaps. No more hard plastics and cheap leathers. Attention to detail MUST be at a Cadillac or BMW level. If Chrysler is to truly survive, then it has to recapture it's fan base. The CTS did that for Cadillac, and the 200C can do it for Chrysler.

I don't know anything about schedules for the building cars - since I am a simple consumer but I wanted to add my two cents to the conversation. Please if at all possible have this car come out in 2010. I have been a loyal toyota coustomer but would buy this car in a heartbeat with the electric engine. I saw it at the Chicago auto show and fell in love with it thinking up all kinds of questions. For example how much could a person expect their electric bill to increase with needing to charge their car battery? Also I frequently drive to MN - it is a 6 1/2 hr drive just over 400 mi - which is just over the projected range of this car - would that mean I would just need to refill the gas tank that runs the generator or would I need to stop and recharge the battery along the way? Also if I don't have an iphone - do I still have options using another type of phone - like a blackberry? Either way it goes excellent concept and beautiful to boot.
I've not owned a Chrysler since the late 80s & 90s. However, if you will produce this 200C (with the model exterior and interior), I will be excited to become a Chrysler owner again. It's a beautiful automobile and the technology is just what this Country needs. Keep up the great work Chrysler!!!
