Year after year, we see that Jeep Engineers still "get it", but year after year we fail to see any of these concepts reach the marketplace, except for Wrangler. Management needs to understand that Jeepers want more than one model with true off road capability. Compass, Commander, watered down Grand Cherokee are all vehicles we didn't ask for... Jeep Truck, Diesels, a real replacement for Cherokee XJ, those are things that we've been asking for,... for nearly a decade now...

I find it very interesting that the executives that continue to refuse to listen...are the same executives who keep leaving the company. Does that mean that we might finally work our way down to those surviving executives who "get it"...? I remain hopeful but realistic. Much of Fiat's sucessful 4WD lineup reminds me of the Jeep XJ, with diesel power. COULDN'T we have done that ourselves, and built them here with Americans???

And by choir I mean me, the one man choir, I don't think anyone else is reading this string, I found something interesting online check this out. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0CYH/is_16_7/ai_107756429/ Note the date of the article. In 2003 Cummins had a diesel engine with 8,000 hours on it, that met T2B5 emissions. Cummins!!! Yet in 2005/6 the Liberty came with a VM Motori Engine that couldn't meet the Emissions controls that came into effect in 2007, T2B2 I believe. So I think it's clear, that they truly don't get it. It's sad, if I had an extra $12,000 laying around I'd convert my JK to a clean powerful diesel, but I don't have the money, and Jeep/Chrysler refuse to open their eyes. They say there isn't a market, there aren't any, real, vehicles in the market! Here's to you Norm, and the CAB.
