I've been one of the Chrysler faithful for years, owning Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep products of various types. I now drive -- and thoroughly enjoy -- a Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland and am now lusting over the 2011! I'm happy the "Fiat alliance" went through but I'm curious as to which of the major financial players decided to go home with their ball because their returns were not enough (and they felt others would suffer while they would not). Any info available?

I think the government should have just gave you the money the hold outs wouldn't. I would like to know how those people can sleep at night knowing that they forced you into bankruptcy and thousands and thousands of Americans jobs at risk. I guess we all have our day of reckoning. Me and my GM family are with you.........Kay

After the Chapter re-org. is complete, Chrysler should be lean & mean. Why then allow Fiat to take control of this new competitive company???? I can see letting them have a 20 to 35 % share, that's a smart move, but a controlling intrest???? What good is that? Why go through the time & trouble of fixing Chrysler (an American car company) then handing the fixed company over to an other foreign company?????? It makes no sense to me....!

I am sorry to see this happen. Mostly because I have seen this happen to another company my family was very loyal to, American Motors. It took me years to forgive Chrysler for buying and dismantling AMC. But, over the years I have become a loyal Chrysler owner, (2003 Jeep Grand, and 2005 Dodge Ram 2500). I know that the future is questionable for Chrysler in the new partnership, as the past has spelled doom for the "aquirred" nameplate. I hope this does not happen, I have watched this company go from K-series to beautiful cars such as the 300, Charger, Challenger, and the Viper, as well as the much heralded minivans. Good luck in the future.

I'm a laid of chrysler salary employee of 20 plus years, i've seen this company go thur many changes but all ways manage to came out on top. The problem with all american companies is GREED It's killing america. There's no reason any company should be paying ceo, coo,or top officers millions while sending our jobs over sea's. I just received notice today that i will not be receiving any more health benefits,or IPP insurance which covers my salary while laid off from chrysler.. Well how do i tell my kids they will be homeless in a couple months, while the ceo,coo walk away with millions??? This is a bunch of crap.. to put it mildly.

Frederick CDJ (Boardman, OH) on the closure list must be a mistake.
If you read how many people Bob has delivered Challengers to on
just the challengertalk.com forums, it would have to be more than
any other dealer. At least his is the most famous at the moment.
This is like putting Grand-Spaulding Dodge on the list at the
height of it’s days. think again, Frederick’s Dodge
brings in a boatload of respect for Chrysler when it is needing it
the most. Bob and the gang represent to most of us the integrity
that auotmobile companies need the most. Think again and then again
before you lose one of your best assets. Frederick CDJ RULES!!!!
This goes along with the other comments about the overall impact.

We as consumers of your product ask a favor of you. Mr Bob
Frederick has been one of the most stand up people to deal with
concerning buying a DCJ product I and many others have ever dealt
with. His dealership is a shrine to us all who know Bob and his
passion for this industry and your product. Why then is his
dealership on the list to be closed as he has made so many
customers happy coast to coast.
I know the many aspects of business applies here however please
consider doing something to make this right as he is one of the
guys you should use as a keystone dealership and not discard.
Please make this right as if he goes this will leave a bitter taste
in the mouths of the 1000’s of people he helped get into your
products giving Fiat someone like Bob and his staff is a plus
plus.. Make this a human decision please and not a business guided
mist
