Women make up 54 percent of all
direct car purchases, but actually influence and initiate almost 80
percent of all vehicle transactions, according to the Women-Drivers.com, a
female-focused consumer raking and advocacy group. Given that
eye-opening data, it’s especially relevant that Women-Drivers
awarded Chrysler dealerships the highest ranking on its Women
Satisfaction Index (WSI) when it comes to the overall vehicle
purchasing experience.
In its first national brand
report, Women-Drivers analyzed 2,600 audited consumer reviews from
women who ranked purchasing, browsing and service experiences at
car dealerships across the country. Out of a possible 5
points, Chrysler dealers scored 4.9, outdoing all other brands, as
well the average of 4.33 for all brands.
At the same time, Chrysler
consistently ranked high among women customers who were “very
satisfied with the engagement and treatment by the sales
person,” as well as the overall dealership experience and the
financing process, according to Women-Drivers.
“Women are still the first
line of offense in doing the research on a new vehicle either for
themselves or for their families,” said Anne Fleming,
founder, president of the company and a car buying advocate.
Fleming estimated that six out of
10 women visit three or more dealerships during the purchase
process.
"Car companies and dealerships
that treat and respect women well are placing themselves in a
strong position to convert more browsers to buyers and get more
referrals,” she said.
